Today, we are happy to be showcasing one of our lovely artists, Ruthie Collins. She is a country singer and songwriter based in Nashville who has had quite the year already in 2022. She completed a 10 show run in March, opening for Sam Outlaw in the United Kingdom. Additionally, the single “Hypocrite” from her latest album Cold Comfort + has been climbing country radio charts. Most recently, Ruthie wrapped up her headlining Wish You Were Here Tour. The tour included eighteen dates spanning just over a month in May and June. We absolutely adored getting to follow along with Ruthie’s adventures on the road, and we are excited to recap them with you!

The first show date of the Wish You Were Here Tour was May 17th, 2022 at the High Dive in Seattle, Washington. Following a successful show there, Ruthie traveled down the west coast, stopping in Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City. At each location, Ruthie got to hang out with some incredible fans and make amazing new connections.

The next leg of the tour had Ruthie traveling further inland and toward the midwest. The next stop on the tour was Chicago, where Ruthie performed at Uncommon Ground on June 1st. That same week, she traveled to Lake Orion, Michigan, and Columbus, Ohio, before ultimately heading eastbound for the next round of shows.

Beginning June 9th, Ruthie toured in cities along the east coast. The first was at Funk ‘n Waffles in Syracuse, New York, which is not far from her hometown, Fredonia. After this show, Ruthie headed to Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington DC.

At this point in the tour, Ruthie headed back down south toward Nashville. The week of June 13th was jam packed with shows, starting on the 14th in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Evening Muse. Ruthie then played shows in Bluffton, South Carolina, Clearwater, Florida, and Decatur, Georgia. After seventeen incredible nights of music, Ruthie made the drive home to Nashville, where she performed the last show of the tour at 3rd and Lindsley on June 23rd.

All of us here at OM are thrilled for Ruthie. The Wish You Were Here Tour was a fantastic experience, and the memories made for both Ruthie and her fans will last a lifetime. If you weren’t able to catch Ruthie while she was on the road, rest assured that you’ll be able to see her in a city near you soon! In the meantime, be sure to check out her website, socials, and music!
