And just like that, we’re at the end of our time with our Summer 2026 interns! We’ve had a wonderful semester with these three gals, and we’re so excited to see what they do next. Thank you to Mikayla, Marissa, and Kayla for giving us your time this semester! Read on to hear about their experience interning at OM.
My time at Olivia Management is something I will always be grateful for. From my very first day, Erin, Grace, and Maddy created a welcoming environment that encouraged hard work, curiosity, and growth. They were always willing to answer questions and turn everyday tasks into valuable teaching moments. Because of their mentorship, I gained confidence in my abilities and developed a much deeper understanding of what goes into managing artists and supporting a successful management company.
Throughout my internship, I became familiar with industry-standard platforms such as Mailchimp, Bandsintown, Later, and Squarespace while also strengthening my organizational, communication, and time management skills. One of the most rewarding parts of my internship was helping manage Olivia Management's social media presence. This experience taught me how to create content and communicate from a brand's perspective rather than my own, ensuring every post reflected the company's voice and values. Looking back, I am leaving Olivia Management with not only new technical skills but also a stronger understanding of the music industry, greater confidence in my ability to contribute to a professional team, and meaningful friendships with my fellow interns that grew through our collaborative office environment. This experience has reinforced my passion for artist management and digital marketing, and I know the lessons, relationships, and confidence I gained here will continue to shape my future career.
Interning at Olivia Management has been one of the best experiences! I have learned how to navigate and use multiple social media tools, keep up to date on ticket and inventory counts, and understand the importance of professional communication both in and out of the office. The skills I have developed and expanded on are going to be so helpful as I continue to move toward my own career goals in this industry.
Erin, Grace, and Maddy have all been so wonderful and welcoming from the very beginning. Together, they have created a work environment that is loving and super supportive, and I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to be a part of it. I have also made new friendships while interning alongside Mikayla and Kayla. They are such hard workers, and I admire their dedication to the same passion we all share for music! I had an amazing summer with everyone at Olivia Management!
Being at Olivia Management has truly been a pivotal part of me transitioning from a student into a young professional. I have learned so much about the music industry and am so thankful for all of the wisdom Erin shared. So thankful for Grace and Maddy and their eagerness to help and encourage us. And, of course, thankful for Lucy for existing. I've learned how quickly things change in this industry and how important it is to double and triple check information. I learned that mistakes happen, and they're all part of the learning process. I honed my editing skills and became even more familiar with CapCut and Canva. As a songwriting major, I also learned how to register performances with ASCAP—a skill I'll always carry with me :) !
This experience has been such a safe environment to learn and grow, and I'm so thankful they took a chance on me. I will always look back at OM as the launching pad toward my future career in the music industry! Thank you, Erin, Maddy, Grace, Mikayla, Marisa (and Lucy of course), for making this the best summer ever!
