Supporting independent artists can look like a lot of different things. Of course, buying music and merch helps, but even small things like sharing a song with a friend can make a difference. Here are eight simple ways to support the indie artists you love.

1. Go to Their Shows
There’s nothing quite like showing up in person. Buying a ticket directly supports the artist and helps make future shows and tours possible. If you can make it to a show, grab a ticket and bring a friend with you!
2. Stream and Save Their Music
Listen to their music, save your favorite songs, and add them to your playlists. When they release something new, take a few minutes to check it out.
3. Share Their Music
Post a song on your story, send it to a friend, or add it to a playlist. A simple recommendation can introduce an artist to someone who may have never found them otherwise.
4. Join Their Email List
Email lists are a great way to keep up with new music, tour dates, merch, and other announcements without relying on social media to show them to you.
5. Engage With Their Content
Like their posts, leave a comment, watch their videos, and share announcements. These little interactions are an easy way to show that you’re paying attention and excited about what they’re doing.
